TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (Väylävirasto) has decided to enter into 4-year framework agreements for tasks related to the construction, supervision, and commissioning of the additional funding share for the Helsinki–Riihimäki capacity increase, Phase 2. The agreement may be extended for up to four option years, one year at a time. The additional funding will be used to implement a new freight rail line, which starts at the Hyvinkää traffic station from the Hangö railway from the west side of the main tracks, crossing other tracks in Monn i and ending at the freight yard in Riihimäki. In addition, the project will include changes, e.g. to bridges and other structures, to safety device and electrified railway structures, and to noise control. The construction design plans for the area are estimated to be completed at the beginning of 2027. Based on this framework agreement, the contracting authority will commission the tasks of a construction consultant and the tasks for supervising track works for the additional funding share.
