TENDER DESCRIPTION
An industry dialogue and market exploration have shown that, for the sub-area of the local authority, there is currently no powerful Gigabit infrastructure with an offering of corresponding telecommunications services available nationwide according to the goals of the Gigabit Framework Regulation 2.0 and that it will not be available in the coming years. The local authority has therefore applied for and been granted funding for comprehensive Gigabit expansion - referring to the underserved sub-area in the Economic Viability Gap Model within the framework of the guideline "Funding to Support the Expansion of Gigabit Telecommunications Networks in the Federal Republic of Germany - Federal Gigabit Guideline 2.0 (Gigabit-RL 2.0)" dated March 31, 2023, as amended on January 13, 2025 ("Gigabit Guideline 2.0"). The funding provided in this program under the Economic Viability Gap Model (hereinafter: funds) shall be passed on by local authorities to telecommunications companies in the EU state aid law sense as investment cost aid for the construction and operation of Gigabit networks.
