TENDER DESCRIPTION

1. Description of Services 1.1. General Description Each site will vary from ad hoc single locations to larger scale recently completed surfacing schemes. Access to many locations may be limited and require a pre inspection prior to the intended works and the provision of no waiting cones and/or advanced warning notifications. The contractor should ensure in advance that the surface upon which the road marking material is to be laid is in a satisfactory condition. If the surface is not satisfactory the contractor should inform the Engineer accordingly and postpone the works until the surface is completed to a satisfactory condition 1.2. Types of marking The types of markings covered in this contract may include, but not be limited to: 1.2.1. Regulatory and Safety Markings - Centre lines, edge lines, lane lines - Hazard lines and double white line systems - Stop lines and Give Way markings - Pedestrian crossing markings (zebra, signal-controlled) - School keep clear markings - Yellow box junctions 1.2.2.
