TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Industrie- und Handelskammer Mittlerer Niederrhein (a public-law corporation with its principal office in Krefeld, hereinafter: IHK MNR) plans, together with Campus Bildung & Innovation Neuss, to create an education infrastructure that provides a strategic response to the need to secure skilled workers in training establishments and to further train them in a future-oriented manner. The new campus is intended to contribute, as a visible symbol of successful structural change, to reposition the Rheinisches Revier as an innovative and competitive business region. The physical location of the campus is to be implemented in Neuss in the area of the northern development site (development site A) at Wendersplatz, and thus in a prominent location (immediately adjacent to Hammer Landstraße). The site is located at the intersection between the city centre, the port, the entrance to the new city park and the Wendersplatz to be redesigned; the building is to interact in all directions and have no back sides. The primary area of responsibility is based on the district of IHK MNR, which comprises the cities of Krefeld and Mönchengladbach as well as Rhein-Kreis Neuss and the Kreis Viersen.…
