Round-the-clock assisted living refers to housing services according to section 21 c of the Social Welfare Act in a unit where staff trained in social and health care are present around the clock. Round-the-clock assisted living is arranged for persons whose need for care and supervision is continuous and long-term. Round-the-clock assisted living includes care and supervision tailored to the customer's needs regardless of the time of day, activities that maintain and promote functional capacity, meal, laundry, bathing, and cleaning services, as well as services that promote participation and social interaction. In addition, provision must be made to ensure that the person has the opportunity to receive necessary medical rehabilitation and other health care services.
