TENDER DESCRIPTION

Home care refers to the entirety formed by the home nursing care duties included in section 19 of the Social Welfare Act (1301/2014) and section 25 of the Health Care Act (1326/2010). The aim of home care is to support clients’ holistic well-being and the best possible independent coping at home, and to maintain and improve their physical, mental and social functional capacity. Home care is granted to clients in accordance with their service needs and the service decisions. The service provider must have a licence from the Regional State Administrative Agency and Valvira for its activities. The service covered by this procurement is described in more detail in Appendix 1 (service description) to the participation request. The detailed objectives set by the contracting authority for the procurement are: 1. Promoting clients’ freedom of choice 2. Developing the quality of the service to match clients’ needs 3. Supporting the multi-provider model 4. Enabling flexible market entry for new companies 5.
