Long-term 24-hour service housing means permanent accommodation in an accommodation unit where the customer receives the care and assistance they need around the clock. The customers are older people who meet the contracting authority’s eligibility criteria for granting 24-hour accommodation. Long-term 24-hour service housing includes care and assistance independent of time of day according to the customer’s individual needs, meals, laundry management, and cleaning. In addition, 24-hour service housing includes activities that promote the customer’s wellbeing, health, functional capacity, independent coping, and participation and social interaction.
