TENDER DESCRIPTION

The City of Castrop-Rauxel plans the refurbishment of the listed (heritage-protected) council chamber. The council chamber comprises a total of two storeys (entrance and ground floor) with a floor area of approx. 765 m². On the entrance storey there is an exhibition area / viewing tour area as well as the tiered seating area of the council chamber. On the ground floor there is the actual council chamber (approx. 170 m²) as well as various storage/technical rooms, sanitary facilities and a tea kitchen. Planned interventions in adjacent areas, such as the WCs in the connecting corridor to the town hall, are to be included in the planning. The aim of the measure is to bring the building up to the current standard of technology in an energy-efficient, functional and technical manner while strictly preserving the historical appearance. For this purpose, the restoration of individual structural components that are subject to monument protection is required.
