TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Contracting Authority hereby invites you to submit a tender for the procurement concerning the hiring of storage and/or (un)loading containers for lithium batteries. Lithium-containing energy carriers are increasingly used within Defence due to their high energy density and long lifespan. The introduction and growing use of these energy carriers within all branches of the armed forces leads to an increase in safety risks for operational units, equipment, and supporting processes. These storage and/or (un)loading containers are deployed for the safe storage, charging, and discharging of lithium batteries. Because this must take place at short notice, the containers are hired and the contract is mainly awarded based on the shortest possible delivery time. With this procurement, the Contracting Authority aims to provide safe and suitable storage and/or (un)loading facilities for lithium batteries to manage these risks.
