TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Evangelical Lutheran Holy Cross Church in Augsburg was built in 1652/1653 as a Baroque church in the style of a Protestant preaching church. It is the first Protestant church building in Augsburg, which was decorated over the following decades with numerous works by renowned artists. The church is one of the most significant Protestant sacred buildings in Bavaria, closely linked to the Reformation, the religious conflicts, and the special confessional situation of Augsburg. It bears the nickname "European Peace Church." In 2021, it was classified as a monument of national significance. The building and its structure have been monitored statically for some time. Damage was detected that must be urgently remedied. In a first construction phase, emergency stabilization measures were implemented until November 2024.
