TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Evangelical Lutheran Holy Cross Church in Augsburg was built in 1652/1653 as a baroque church in the style of a Protestant preaching church. It is the first Protestant church building in Augsburg, which over the following decades was adorned with numerous works by renowned artists. The church is one of the most significant Protestant sacred buildings in Bavaria, closely linked to the Reformation, religious conflicts, and the particular confessional situation in Augsburg. It bears the nickname "European Peace Church." In 2021, it was classified as a monument of national importance. The building and its structure have been monitored statically for some time. Damage has been identified that urgently needs to be repaired. In a first construction phase, emergency securing measures were implemented by November 2024.
