TENDER DESCRIPTION

For the Institute of Hygiene and Environment (HU) and Hamburg Water, a new laboratory and institute building is to be constructed. The aim is to build a new office and administrative building that meets the current requirements of modern laboratory buildings and ensures the smoothest possible, as well as efficient, operating process. The project includes use as a laboratory and office building with a total usable area of approx. 24,500 m2 (NUF) or approx. 49,585 m2 gross floor area (BGF) above ground. It is to be constructed in Hamburg-Mitte on the property Bullenhuser Damm/ Großmannstraße, on an area of approx. 12,000 m2. The main areas of work of the Institute of Hygiene and Environment (approx. 300 employees) are food safety and zoonoses, hygiene and infectious medicine, as well as environmental investigations, supplemented by the Service and Control department.
