TENDER DESCRIPTION
Due to its responsibility for the KSG sectors of the energy sector, industry and buildings, as well as its role as lead office in the preparation of the German NECP, the BMWE bears a special responsibility for the development and assessment of energy and climate policy measures. The aim of the contract is to support the BMWE (Department III) through quantitative analyses in the design, assessment and further development of measures. In particular, the study will examine the achievable greenhouse gas reductions, the economic effects on public budgets, enterprises and groups of consumers, as well as aspects of acceptance and feasibility. The work builds on existing economy-wide system modelling for GHG projections and takes into account further impact assessments from relevant sources. The results will be prepared in accordance with the requirements of the KSG and the NECP and documented in a transparent manner with regard to assumptions, methods and results. The objective is to provide a scientifically sound, clear and technically usable basis for decision-making for energy and climate policy.
