TENDER DESCRIPTION

At km 1+271, the county road DJ707 A crosses the Mureș River near the locality of Săvârşin. The bridge has four spans of 39.80 m each and a total length of 175.00 m. The bridge was built in 1897 and was strengthened in 2007, with the works focusing especially on the superstructure. The bridge superstructure is made of four metal spans, each with two main girders with latticework of a parabolic shape with a low track. The superstructure is supported on the substructure by metal bearing devices. The bridge substructure (abutments and piers) is made of masonry of hewn stone blocks, bonded with cement mortar. The carriageway on the bridge has a width of 4.20 m and two sidewalks are provided, each with a width of 0.90 m. Currently, based on visual observations, it can be seen that the main girders as well as the metal longitudinal members and cross ties, and also the reinforced concrete deck slab, show deterioration such as: corrosion, rust spots, flaking of paint layers, local deformations of the parts due to corrosion, a marked reduction in the cross-section of the metal elements due to corrosion, unevenness of the structural elements.
