Summary The City of Raisio and CompassForge Ventures Oy have entered into a cooperation agreement for the development of the area. CompassForge Ventures Oy is planning a data center in the Itä-Somersoja area, which requires detailed zoning. A design reservation agreement has been mutually agreed upon for the project, based on which joint planning development has begun. At the same time, the Itä-Somersoja plan area is being designed more broadly. This call for tenders focuses on the area needed for the data center project. Description of the matter and the call for tenders The project is progressing in parallel with the preparation of Fingrid's 400 kV power line. The power line is scheduled to be completed during 2031. The data center could, with reservations, start operations earlier, so the zoning project must proceed on the fastest possible schedule. Fingrid is currently advancing the power line preparation through an EIA procedure and its project is on schedule. An area of 40 hectares has been allocated for the data center project under the design reservation agreement, along with an option for an expansion area of 25 hectares.
