TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Finnish Border Guard requests applications to participate in a procurement with the subject matter being the maintenance of the Eastern Border Obstacle Fence (hereinafter “the EEF”) for the border guard units of Southeast Finland and North Karelia, including inter alia: - Snow ploughing and sanding/gritting, total of approx. 284 km of maintainable road sections - Inspections, cleaning, repairs and maintenance of road culverts - Shaping of road wearing courses and gritting/surfacing of wearing courses - Installation of snow plough marker posts in autumn and removal in spring - Installation and maintenance of traffic signs and the necessary signboards - Ditch excavation, clearing and restoration - Clearing scrub/undergrowth on the west side of the road - Removal and suppression of tall grass - Clearing fallen trees from the fence and from openings/gaps - Maintenance painting of the fence and gates - Repair of other fence damage; vandalism, accidents, repair of storm damage, repairs for damage caused by animals, etc. - Gates: inspections, maintenance and repairs - Inspections, repairs, annual maintenance, refuelling and BO tests for power outage situations for backup…
