TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Finnish Border Guard requests applications to participate in a procurement procedure whose subject is the maintenance of the Eastern Border Obstacle Fence (“the IE fence”) of the Southeastern Finland and North Karelia Border Guard units, which includes, among other things: - Snow clearing and gritting, serviced sections of road in total approx. 284 km - Inspections, cleaning, repairs and maintenance of road culverts - Shaping of road surface courses and spreading of gravel for road surface courses - Installation of snow-clearing markers in autumn and removal in spring - Installation and maintenance of traffic signs and any necessary signposts - Digging, cleaning/clearing and restoration of ditches - Clearing of scrub vegetation on the west side of the road - Removal and prevention of growth of grass and weeds - Clearing fallen trees from atop the fence and from openings - Maintenance painting of the fence and gates - Repair of other fence damage; vandalism, accidents, repair of storm damage, repairs of damage caused by animals, etc. - Gates: inspections, maintenance and repairs - Inspections, repairs, annual maintenance, refuelling and BO tests for power outages of backup…
