TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Finnish Border Guard requests applications for participation in a procurement whose subject is the maintenance of the overall system of the Eastern Border Obstacle Fence (“IE fence”) of the Southeast Finland and North Karelia Border Guard Units (hereinafter “IE fence”), which includes, among other things: - Snow ploughing and sanding/gritting, maintainable road sections in total approx. 284 km - Inspection, cleaning, repairs and maintenance of snowploughing drums - Shaping of road wearing courses and gritting/milling of the wearing courses - Installation of snow ploughing markers in autumn and removal in spring - Installation and maintenance of traffic signs and the required signposting - Excavation, cleaning/clearing and restoration of ditches - Clearing scrub vegetation on the west side of the road - Removal and control of grass/weeds - Clearing fallen trees from over the fence and from openings - Maintenance painting of the fence and gates - Repair of other fence damages; vandalism, accidents, repair of storm damage, repairs for damage caused by animals, etc. - Gates: inspections, maintenance and repairs - Inspection, repairs, annual maintenance, refuelling and BO tests…
