TENDER DESCRIPTION

The State of Hesse plans for the Justizvollzugsanstalt (correctional facility) Dieburg to renew the fire alarm system and to eliminate existing deficiencies in fire protection in accordance with a newly prepared fire protection concept. The JVA site is located in the middle of the city centre in a residential area and originated from an old monastery complex dating from the 18th century. In 1830, it was converted into a detention facility; over the years it was expanded into a prisoner camp, and in the 1960s it was developed into the current Justizvollzugsanstalt. The route of the old monastery wall forms the boundary of the property and the facility wall of the JVA. On the site, partly built directly onto the facility wall, the following buildings are located: - 2 five-storey cell buildings - 2 single- and two-storey workshop buildings with basements - A historic three-storey administrative building, partly with a basement, with an inner courtyard (former monastery building – listed building protection) - A service building – a two-storey villa - The gatehouse building with the work-release section - 2 connecting bridges between the cell buildings, the administrative building…
