TENDER DESCRIPTION

The South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa procures, for the Savonlinna unit, one (1) operating microscope for ophthalmic surgical use, and as an option one (1) operating microscope for the Welfare Area. The procured total package includes delivery of the device, installation service and commissioning; use and maintenance training, any services supporting use (repair and maintenance services for the devices); device-specific accessories and spare parts that are essential for using the device, as well as the options presented in the tender documents. The ophthalmology unit’s operations are divided into outpatient and research activities as well as day-surgical operations. In the ophthalmology unit, cataracts are operated throughout the year. At an annual level, approximately 800 - 1,000 eyes are operated on. New cataract surgeons are also trained in the unit. As new cataract surgeons are trained in the unit, the procured microscope must be suitable for teaching purposes.
