TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of this contract is a contiguous construction service comprising detection of explosive ordnance, clearance of explosive ordnance, areal removal of excavated volume for adapting the harbor seabed in the area of the South Dike on the island of Helgoland. The services shall be carried out technically and organisationally in such a way that detection, removal with separation, rehandling/reallocation, control surveying, documentation and release interlock in an uninterrupted work process. The theoretical initial level of the harbor seabed to be processed is NHN -8.53 m. According to the available fan survey (radiating/sector) fathometer/sonar data, the processing areas amount to approximately 24,160 m2 for the area with final level NHN -9.30 m (berth) and approximately 4,400 m2 for the area with final level NHN -9.00 m2 (manoeuvring area). The soil and rock material that has been loosened and technically released as safe with regard to explosive ordnance shall, as a matter of principle, remain in the waterbody and be reallocated within the intended areas in the foreport.
