TENDER DESCRIPTION

Procurement of liability insurance service for general and catastrophic rail accidents. The purpose of the procurement is to conclude an insurance contract that complies with the provisions of Government Decree No. 271/2007. (X.19.) (hereinafter: Government Decree) and with those set out in the Procurement Documents, in particular in the draft Contract. The insurance contract enables MÁV Passenger Transport Zrt., as a rail company registered in Hungary that carries out rail transport activities in the territory of Hungary, to meet the requirements to be fulfilled in relation to its suitability for reimbursement of general and catastrophic rail accident damages within its scope of liability, and, up to the insured sum, also to ensure reimbursement of damages arising from general and catastrophic accidents and payment of damages for non-pecuniary harm. The liability insurance contract to be concluded as a result of the procurement must, according to the conditions specified, provide cover to the insured in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Government Decree, in connection with a rail accident, within the scope of its liability, for reimbursement of damages caused to passengers…
