TENDER DESCRIPTION

Käthe-Kollwitz-Schule Marburg is a vocational school of the University City of Marburg for non-technical, commercial as well as socio-pedagogical and socio-care professions. Spatially, the school is divided into several locations and buildings. The measure being tendered here relates to the site at Schützenstraße 45 with a GFA of approx. 5,700 m2. The three-storey building wing was built in 1956 and was supplemented in 2000/2001 by a cross wing, also of three storeys. The overall building body has significant deficiencies with regard to structural and preventative fire protection. For various areas, the required second escape and rescue route cannot be demonstrated, among other things, and there are deficiencies in the existing escape and rescue routes. The building also has shortcomings with regard to external and internal circulation and barrier-free accessibility. To remedy the fire protection-related deficiencies and shortcomings, a subdivision into construction phases / clustering of the corridor school is planned, as well as the addition of the building body by extending the cross wing.
