TENDER DESCRIPTION

For the expansion of electron microscopic characterization at Leibniz-IOM, a new pixelated hybrid detector (new equipment) is to be procured, including delivery, installation, integration into the existing transmission electron microscope (TEM) FEI Titan3 G2 60-300, as well as instruction in both hardware and software. By retrofitting the existing TEM with a fast, direct-detection, pixelated hybrid detector, in particular modern electron-diffraction-based measurement methods are to be enabled and/or expanded. These in particular include 4D-STEM and nanodiffraction (NBED) methods. It must be suitable for high-energy electrons and enable high sensitivity, a large dynamic range, and fast data acquisition. Of particular importance are complete technical integration into the existing TEM as well as synchronization between STEM beam deflection and detector data acquisition.
