TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contracting authority intends to procure 1 railway cargo screening X-ray system. The purpose of the system is to enable the National Tax and Customs Administration to carry out inspections in order to determine the identity of goods transported by railway vehicles, using technology that operates without damaging the goods by generating images using ionizing radiation. A further objective with regard to railway rolling stock is to identify possible concealment locations, or structural modifications, through the use of which illegal products are placed in railway wagons. The successful tenderer shall, within a period of 60 months from the successful acceptance and handover of the system, carry out the maintenance necessary for the proper operation of the equipment for its intended purpose.
