TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject matter of the overall project is the construction of three fermentation tanks at the Köhlbrandhöft wastewater treatment plant in Hamburg. Two main fermentation tanks are planned with an operating volume of approximately 8,000 m³ each, as well as a downstream fermentation tank with an operating volume of approximately 4,000 m³. In addition, in particular a machine hall, a stair tower with a lift and cable duct shaft, connecting and interface structures, pipe ducts, and the required external facilities will be constructed. The overall project is intended to be implemented in the Integrated Project Delivery (IPA) model on the basis of a multi-party contract. The planning and execution partners that are crucial to project success will be involved at an early stage in an integrated project organisation. Key elements of project delivery include, in particular, joint validation and planning, collaboration based on the principle of “Best for Project”, joint opportunities and risks management, and the use of collaborative methods, in particular Lean and BIM.
