As part of the project, the existing barns are to be converted and expanded such that functional, up-to-date rooms for various uses are created. In particular, training rooms for the prison service for the enforcement of justice are planned, sports and health-related areas in the form of a fitness room and a sports and/or multipurpose room, as well as office rooms for the administration of the AFI. In doing so, cost-effectiveness, functionality, and sustainability must be taken into account. In addition, it must be checked to what extent renewable energies, for example by installing a photovoltaic system for solar power generation, can be integrated into the concept. The property is subject to listed-building protection. The buildings to be planned are part of the listed ensemble of Rittergut Thale 1 (object number: 09445361) and, due to their historical, cultural-artistic, and urban-planning significance, are designated as a cultural monument.
