TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contract target is to prepare detailed water protection wetland plans for the catchment areas of Pirkanmaa’s mussel rivers (Ruonanjoki and Pinsiön-Matalusjoki), on the basis of which their implementation can be directly ordered. The goal of designing and later establishing the wetlands is to reduce the load arriving from the catchment areas to the rivers: runoff water filtrates as it passes through the wetlands, retaining nutrients and suspended solids. In addition, wetlands play a significant role both as maintainers of biodiversity and as recreational areas. A total of 2 wetlands will be designed; one for the Ruonanjoki catchment area and one for the Pinsiön-Matalusjoki catchment area, on the properties of interested landowners. The wetland plans shall comply in contents with the attached wetland plan content model (appendix 2) where applicable and may also meet the requirements of plans associated with non-productive investments.
