TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the procurement is fiber-optic cabling construction contracts and maintenance of the cable network (e.g. repair and modification works) for the Defence Forces. Fiber-optic cabling construction and maintenance are, as a rule, carried out in areas administered by the Defence Forces, such as garrison and training areas. Maintenance works also include installation work for copper cables. A list of the locations (municipalities/places) of the Defence Forces’ premises is available on the internet at www.puolustusvoimat.fi. Fiber-optic cabling construction may, to a small extent, also include installation of a submarine cable. Based on an agreement, the Defence Forces may also, if they so wish, order only the design service for cable routes. Based on the tender competition, a framework agreement is concluded with one supplier. The planned contract period is 1.1.2027 - 31.12.2030.
