TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the procurement is fibre-optic construction contracts as well as maintenance of the cable network (e.g. repair and modification work) for the Defence Forces. Fibre-optic construction and maintenance are carried out primarily in areas administered by the Defence Forces, such as garrison and training areas. Maintenance work also includes installation of copper cables. A list of the locations of the Defence Forces’ premises is available on the internet at www.puolustusvoimat.fi. Fibre-optic construction may, to a small extent, also include installation of a cable across inland waters. Pursuant to an agreement, the Defence Forces may, if they so wish, commission only the design service for cable routes. Based on the tender competition, a framework agreement will be concluded with one supplier. The planned contract period is 1.1.2027 - 31.12.2030.
