TENDER DESCRIPTION
The analysis methods of the Customs Laboratory have been validated and accredited so that they use certain, specified supplies. If the supply used in the method significantly affects or may affect the analysis performance parameters, e.g. sensitivity or resolution capability, it cannot be replaced with another without re-validation and accreditation. Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2017/625 on official controls, all methods used in controls must be accredited. If the method is validated and accredited again due to changes in supplies that affect the performance of the method, the control using that method will in most cases have to be suspended for the duration of the re-validation. Due to the above-mentioned accreditation requirement, Finnish Customs considers it justified to procure the specific brands described in the tender and to direct the tender to specific brands.
