TENDER DESCRIPTION

The municipality of Tilburg is looking for an operator (the Agricultural Company) for the years 2027 through 2032 who will receive the agricultural lands of the municipality of Tilburg under liberalized lease and will partly operate the lands themselves and partly manage them through subleasing. In this way, the Agricultural Company supports and relieves the municipality of Tilburg in managing its agricultural lands. The municipality of Tilburg aims to use its lands more for the agricultural transition and to make the management of the plots more sustainable and aligned with existing area challenges. Additionally, the municipality wants to maintain a flexible land reserve to be able to deploy it for projects, for example as exchange land for housing or nature development locations, and to provide room for social initiatives. The contracting authority has an expiring agreement for the multi-year management of its agricultural lands, whereby the operator currently provides/fulfills three services/roles: • Operation of a predetermined part of the lands; • Subleasing (stewardship services) of part of the lands; • Supervisory role in the management of the lands.
