TENDER DESCRIPTION
The subject of the tender is the award of a service contract for the operational performance of control centre activities, the taking of telephone booking requests, and the provision of drivers for the Bussi on-demand service. Bussi is an on-demand service integrated into local public passenger transport, operated by Ruhrbahn, within the city of Essen. The service complements conventional scheduled bus and rail services with flexible, demand-oriented services. Trips are not carried out on a fixed route basis; instead they are scheduled on the basis of specific trip requests. Multiple trip requests can be bundled systemically. The pick-up locations for passengers include both Ruhrbahn physical stops and so-called virtual stops that are not visible in physical space and are located approximately 250 m apart from one another throughout the city area. Booking is made digitally via the app rufmobil.nrw. The app rufmobil.nrw is a platform that consolidates various ridepooling services in NRW.
