TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the invitation to tender is the award of a service contract for the operational implementation of dispatching center operations, telephone booking intake, and the provision of drivers for the Bussi on-demand offer. Bussi is an on-demand offer operated by Ruhrbahn and integrated into local public transport in the city area of Essen. The service complements conventional scheduled services with flexible, demand-oriented transport. Trips are not carried out on fixed routes, but are scheduled on the basis of specific trip requests. Multiple travel wishes can be bundled system-wise. The pick-up locations for passengers include Ruhrbahn’s physical stops as well as so-called virtual stops that are not visible in physical space and are located about 250 m apart across the entire city area. Booking is made digitally via the app rufmobil.nrw. The rufmobil.nrw app is a platform that bundles various ridepooling services in NRW.
