TENDER DESCRIPTION
The condition of the infrastructure facilities of the tram in Landgrabenstraße / Gibitzenhofstraße is now quite old and is approaching the wear limit. The rails are now 22 to 36 years old. As part of the refurbishment, the BOStrab-compliant condition will be restored including a dynamic optimization of the track alignment. Due to the two new tram lines 10 and 11, there is also the necessity for the new barrier-free stop "Melanchthonplatz" so that the new lines can be used optimally and there will be an improved fine development of the Steinbühl district. In addition, the heavily overloaded stop "Landgrabenstraße" will be expanded barrier-free and widened, which will also be relieved by the new overlapping of the catchment area. The stop "Heynestraße" can be discontinued due to the new stop "Melanchthonplatz". To make use of synergy effects, the city of Nuremberg plans, in the course of the refurbishment of the operational facilities of the tram, an urban upgrade of Landgrabenstraße between Gugelstraße and Melanchthonplatz.
