Functional requirements for the digital tree inventory The system must, for each individual tree, be suitable for displaying and analyzing the following data content: • Examination of microclimatic effects: o the shading pattern at micro-scale, o canopy cover, o estimation of foliage mass. • i-Tree Eco model data content: o canopy absence in percentage form (percent crown missing). • Branch structure model: o for accurate analysis of the static and safety status of the trees. Scope of the survey The individual-based tree inventory database must: • include trees located in public areas, • include tree individuals located in parks and as street rows/avenues, • include precise geolocation, • based on a priority list agreed with the Contracting Authority (City Centre, main transport routes, prominent public parks). On the public areas of the City of Győr (including park areas and street rows/avenues), there are approximately 68,000–70,000 trees, and in municipal cemeteries and in the network of municipal institutions there are an additional 1,500–1,600 trees.
