TENDER DESCRIPTION
The Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG) carries out a large number of biological assays on thin-layer chromatography plates. In doing so, cell-based biological detection methods, for example for detecting hormonal effects, are directly coupled with the thin-layer chromatographic separation of mixtures of substances and environmental samples. For these activities, a chromatographic separation device is required. The device must be an automated gradient development system for developing thin-layer chromatography plates. The following variants are possible: 1. Delivery of a new device, or 2. Delivery of a device previously used exclusively as a demonstration unit, refurbished, and fully functional. 1. Requirements for the chromatographic separation device The offered device must absolutely meet the following features: a) The device allows automatic development of TLC plates with the dimensions 20 x 10 cm. b) The number of programmable development steps for multiple development and/or gradient elution must be at least 30. c) The run length of these development steps must be flexibly programmable. d) The variation in the automatic detection of the solvent front may be at most +/-…
