TENDER DESCRIPTION

Bauhaus University Weimar is procuring a GPU server system for research in the field of Intelligent Information Systems. The contracting authority uses Linux-based operating systems and software. Therefore, all components must meet the following requirements: a) Server: Certification of the respective server type, e.g. through the "YES Certified Program" for SUSE Enterprise or the "Red Hat Hardware Certification Program" or award as "Ubuntu Server Certified Hardware". Alternatively, an equivalent manufacturer’s certificate proving that the offered server type is supported with a current, generally available Linux distribution in productive server operation is permitted. b) Software: Any necessary proprietary drivers and software must be operable under Linux and be supplied. Licenses required for drivers and software must be supplied free of charge for a minimum of 10 years for an unlimited number of users. An operating system does not have to be pre-installed. The tendered server system will be installed in the server room of the main building of the Media Faculty (Bauhausstr. 11, 99423 Weimar).
