TENDER DESCRIPTION
The Bauhaus University Weimar is procuring a GPU server system for research in the field of Intelligent Information Systems. The contracting authority uses Linux-based operating systems and software. Therefore, all components must meet the following requirements: a) Server: Certification of the respective server type, e.g., through the "YES Certified Program" for SUSE Enterprise or the "Red Hat Hardware Certification Program" or designation as "Ubuntu Server Certified Hardware." Alternatively, an equivalent manufacturer proof is permitted, confirming that the offered server type is supported with a current, generally available Linux distribution in productive server operation. b) Software: Any required proprietary drivers and software must be operable under Linux and supplied. Licenses needed for drivers and software must be provided free of charge for at least 10 years with unlimited user numbers. An operating system does not need to be pre-installed. The tendered server system will be installed in the server room of the main building of the Faculty of Media (Bauhausstr. 11, 99423 Weimar).
