JenAer Nahverkehr GmbH currently uses a fluted-rail cleaning vehicle from the manufacturer Zweiweg (year built 2014) for cleaning fluted rails and turnout drive units. Due to its age, its susceptibility to faults, and the condition of the sweeping waste container, at the end of its service life it is furthermore not possible to use this vehicle on open track bed; as part of this procurement measure, it is to be replaced by a modern vehicle.
