TENDER DESCRIPTION

The balances are to be purchased as part of the initial equipment for the new laboratory building of the Finger Institute for Building Materials Science (FIB). At the FIB, the professorships Materials of Construction, Construction and Environmental Chemistry, as well as the Junior Professorship Materials Mechanics are based. The FIB is an internationally leading research institution in the field of cement chemistry, research into novel CO2-neutral binders, additives and the durability of concrete. Together with the IAB and the MFPA, it forms the Innovation Center for Construction (Innovationszentrum Bau), one of the largest research alliances in Europe in the field of building materials research. The institute is also responsible for the degree programme in Building Materials Engineering, in which the next generation of researchers for academic and industrial research is trained. This degree programme is unique in Germany in terms of its concept.
