TENDER DESCRIPTION

From the 2027/28 school year, during school operations, once per week a delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables is to be made to all public compulsory schools in Vienna participating in the Vienna school fruit programme. In total, currently 386 schools (in addition to around 40 outposts) take part in the Vienna school fruit programme, with each class in the schools to be supplied receiving a crate of fruit or vegetables. Thus, around 5,500 crates containing variety-pure, seasonal and regional fruits are delivered to the schools. For each crate, each child is provided with a portion of fruit or vegetables. In doing so, environmental appropriateness of the service is to be taken into account. The number of delivery weeks per school year may range from 22 to 29 weeks. In addition to the logistical supply of the schools, the direct processing of the funding with AgrarMarkt Austria (hereinafter referred to as AMA) in connection with the EU funding programme EU School Scheme for Fruit, Vegetables and Milk, and thus also the pre-financing of the expected funding, is a central task of the contractor.
