TENDER DESCRIPTION

Berliner Hafen- und Lagerhausgesellschaft mbH (BEHALA) operates the public inland ports in the state of Berlin and provides logistics services here as well as the rental of commercial premises. The central location is Berliner Westhafen, which serves as a trimodal freight transport centre in the heart of the capital and offers logistics services. To expand transshipment capacities, two identical mobile excavators are to be procured, which are suitable for the handling of bulk materials such as gravel and sand as well as for metal scrap and shavings. The aim is to procure robust, efficient and maintenance-friendly machines that will sustainably support BEHALA’s transshipment processes while also meeting the requirements for safety, environmental compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
