TENDER DESCRIPTION

Berliner Hafen- und Lagerhausgesellschaft mbH (BEHALA) operates the public inland ports in the State of Berlin and offers logistics services as well as the rental of commercial premises. The central location is the Berlin Westhafen, which, as a trimodal freight transport hub in the heart of the capital, provides logistics services. To expand transshipment capacity, two identical mobile excavators are to be procured, which are suitable for transshipping bulk materials such as gravel and sand as well as metal scrap and shavings. The aim is to procure robust, efficient and maintenance-friendly machines that will sustainably support BEHALA’s transshipment processes while also meeting the requirements relating to safety, environmental compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
