TENDER DESCRIPTION

Within the scope of maintenance there are a total of 54 traffic signal intersections in Vaasa, of which the City of Vaasa owns 50 and Fintraffic Tie Oy 4; in addition, Fintraffic Tie Oy’s traffic lights are located in Kokkola (6), Ilmajoki (1), Kauhava (1) and Kurikka (1). As traffic signal control and monitoring systems, Tmacs (City of Vaasa) and RMS (Fintraffic Tie Oy) are used. The systems are used via an internet browser. Traffic signal heads are, for the most part, LED-based, with the exception of signal heads used in the control of the railway line’s safety equipment. Investment targets for the coming years include updating the remaining (not yet implemented) intersections in accordance with the traffic signal master plan and the intersection-specific improvement plans. The procurement includes in its entirety maintenance tasks for traffic signals and other traffic management systems, such as monitoring, surveillance, control and payment systems, as well as procurement of the required software, equipment and supplies.
