TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of this contract is the reconstruction of the riverbank protection in the 2nd and 3rd construction phases (subsections 3a and 3b). The scope of work essentially includes the dismantling of existing facilities, construction of a new anchored sheet pile wall with mooring dolphins and equipment, reinforcement of the existing sheet pile wall in subsection 3b with micropiles, earthworks, dredging and slope works, harbor drainage, as well as unexploded ordnance detection services, all under ongoing harbor and ship operations on the federal waterway Rhine. Flooding events during the construction period are to be expected. The nature and extent of the services are conclusively determined by the bill of quantities including preliminary remarks, the construction description, and the plans; quantities are only specified in the bill of quantities. The above brief description serves only as orientation. Full compliance with the bill of quantities and the construction description including all attachments is a minimum requirement and forms part of the contract.
