TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Southwest Finland Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (Lounais-Suomen elinvoimakeskus) is to procure a heavy transport service for the Archipelago Sea area. The heavy transport service to be procured is intended to serve the permanent residents of the archipelago and the archipelago’s business activities that, without road, ferry, steamer or sufficient scheduled passenger boat services, lack adequate connections. Customers order transports directly from the service provider. The heavy transport service is offered to customers during the open-water season, mainly from April to November. Procurement documents set out the requirements for the vessels to be used, the service level of the contract, and the service quality requirements.
