TENDER DESCRIPTION

Ground handling services are mainly for the ground handling of material and personnel dispatched to or arriving from international (KV) operations. In addition, the service involves the ground handling of defence material arriving in and departing from Finland. The need for the procured ground handling services is based on transport requirements required by operations and international cooperation. Due to the rapidly changing transport needs of military crisis management and international cooperation, the Contracting Authority cannot commit to a predetermined regular annual volume. At Pori Airport, the arriving aircraft is unloaded from passengers, baggage and any cargo. Passengers are directed to the terminal for any entry clearance to be carried out by the Border Guard and/or Customs, and for the handover of baggage. After the above events, passengers are directed to further transport arranged by the Ordering Party (Defence Forces). For departing aircraft, the process is carried out in reverse order.
