TENDER DESCRIPTION

Ground handling services are mainly for the ground handling of material and personnel that are dispatched to, or received from, international (IN) operations. In addition, the service covers the ground handling of defence materiel arriving in Finland and departing from Finland. The need for the ground handling services to be procured is based on the transport requirements required by operations and international cooperation. Due to the rapidly changing transport requirements of military crisis management and international cooperation, the contracting entity cannot commit in advance to a predefined regular annual volume. At Pori airport, the arriving aircraft is unloaded of passengers, baggage and any cargo. Passengers are guided to the terminal for possible entry clearance carried out by the Border Guard and/or Customs, as well as for the delivery of baggage. After the aforementioned events, passengers are directed to the onward transportation arranged by the Ordering Party (Defence Forces).
