TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for construction management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance work. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Alavus contract area. The total road network included in the contract is approximately 1,050 kilometres, of which approximately 5 km are 2-lane roads, approximately 95 km are 1-lane roads, approximately 190 km are Ib 1-lane roads, approximately 400 km are gravel roads, and approximately 60 km are pedestrian and cycle routes. The contract includes tasks of the water resources department. In terms of complexity, the contract is a basic contract.
